Whether you need a test to be able to go on holiday/ go back home, feel sick and want a peace of mind, or you just want a peace of mind after a high risk contact, our nurses will come to you and test you.

We work with a reputable lab, and will be able to provide you with fit-to-fly certificates. We work from Mondays-Saturdays.

We offer following tests:

-PCR-test: If the test is taken before 11h30, you will have the certificate by the end of the afternoon on the same day. If taken in the afternoon you will have the results by the next day, noon. If you are in need of a quick solution, for a fast processing premium we can have your sample analysed within 2 hours. The swabs we use are very flexible so taking the sample doesn’t cause you too much discomfort. We will introduce the swab either in your throat or nose.

-Antigen-test: This is a quick test, and you will have your certificate within 3 hours.

-Serology: Antibody or serology tests look for antibodies in your blood that fight the virus that causes COVID-19.

*If you haven’t been vaccinated, the lab will check your blood on antibodies caused by COVID-19 infection. This lab test will take up to 2 days.

*If you have been vaccinated, the lab will check the antibodies created by the vaccine, but also if antibodies have developed following a COVID-19 infection. This lab test will take up to 3 days.

Flu jab – who should get vaccinated?

2021-12-03T07:22:37+00:00

Are you in the high or moderate risk group?

You would be condisdered high risk and therefore certainly in need of a flu jab if you are over 65 years of age or if you suffer from chronic illness (ie diabetes, chronic kidney disease) regardless of age, or if you have cardiovascular or pulmonary issues (ie asthma). You would be classified in the moderate group if you have a chronic illness, or if you are pregnant, or if you are taking aspirin on a long term basis.

If you live with a person in one of the above risk groups it is also advised to get vaccinated.

How does a flu vaccine work?

A flu vaccine causes antibodies to develop in the body approximately 2 weeks after vaccination. These antibodies provide protection against infection of circulating influenza viruses.  Available influenza vaccines include, quadrivalent inactivated influenza vaccine. Seasonal flu vaccines are designed to protect against the influenza viruses that research indicates will be most common during the upcoming season.

Home Nurse can provide a flu jab in the comfort of your own home. Call us to make an appointment. +34 604 401 249
